How Respite Works

Direct Support Professionals meet with prospective families prior to services beginning, so that all involved are comfortable with one another. Based on the wishes and needs of the family, respite can be provided in home, in the home of the DSP, or in the community. Families and DSPs coordinate schedules, and the Qualified Professional oversees respite services to ensure that everyone’s needs are being met.
